Sensory Kits can be checked out by anyone! However, they are designed to support the needs of neurodiverse youth and teens of all ability levels. Patrons will have the unique opportunity to discover and explore tools to help with their sensory needs. Kits are intended to be used for a variety of reasons such as, help with focus, self-regulation, improve tolerance, as calming or energizing tools, help keep restless hands busy, and other creative uses. They can be used at the library, for travel, school, or wherever you feel there is a benefit from its use. Each library branch houses their own collection of kits. You may check out one kit per library card; they check out for three weeks. To check one out, you may request a kit at the front desk as part of our adaptive and inclusive material at the library. Sensory kits must be returned to the front desk.
